LESSONS FROM THE OCEAN

I found this starfish during a morning walk washed ashore on Ponce Inlet, Florida.

It seems inevitable in life that we find ourselves sinking in quick sand at the edge of the shore, beaten and washed over by relentlessly harsh waves. Through our eyes, there is much that we have lost. We sink vulnerable and exposed to the elements in the shores of competition and comparison.

Yet, we are not hidden. We are seen awash from our shattered shell dreams. The eyes of compassion admire our imperfect beauty amid the scattered treasure lined shores. To be seen and known, we are rescued, restored, and healed, yet incomplete and broken.

Treasure the beauty in those broken around you!
