THIS IS WHEN WE'LL SOAR IN THIS LIFE

SOARING IN THIS LIFE

I'm inclined to think the ability to soar in this life is held up by the grandest of humble circumstances.

When I see the slightest wind lift a bird's outstretched wings to effortlessly soar through the heavens, I know our human souls can soar through the winds of turbulence and turmoil.

When our pride does not need a defense so that we offer apologies not knowing if they'll be accepted, we rise above regret and shame to restore balance.

When the fear of failure that whispers in our ears tries to bind our feet in complacency yet we choose to be lead by the sharp pierce of determination, we spur each other to act for truth and justice.

When no matter how high our position is deemed in this life, it doesn't dictate the respect we offer all others, we build bridges toward understanding and community.

When hope is believed a miracle, we find the grandest acts are those that humble circumstances and let us soar even in the face of doubt and defeat.
